We added personality, humor, and a memorable voice to a global campaign.

The Brief

Invia launched a new global campaign featuring two orange talking slippers, Flip and Flop, as its main characters. Our task was to adapt the campaign for the Czech market.

The only element we could influence was the voiceover. That is exactly where we decided to add the most value.

 

SmartSolution™

Instead of commercial dubbers, we looked for an established comedy duo. 

We cast the voices of Ricky and Morty: Josef Carda and Matěj Holan. We wrote dialogues tailored to their style and then encouraged them to improvise during the recording.

The actors leaned into the roles and even invented additional lines that made Flip and Flop tease each other like real companions.

 

The Result

The local adaptation gave Flip and Flop clearly defined personalities. They are funny, natural, and easy to remember. They deliver the brand message in a way that stands out from typical travel advertising.

We Took It Further

As the campaign later extended into many tactical spots, we used AI to produce additional voiceovers. This allowed us to adapt the campaign quickly without scheduling new studio sessions. The best part? It’s almost impossible to tell the AI voice apart from the original recordings.

 

Addict proved that a smart, funny voiceover can make a campaign work. They chose the voice actors perfectly. The adverts feel lively and customers can now easily recognize the Invia brand among other travel ads.
